OIC of America is seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented volunteers to assist with STEM education direction for our monthly STEM Saturdays program. As a Facilitator Volunteer, you’ll play an important role in leading hands-on education for K-8 students and their families through activity facilitation that brings science, technology, engineering, and math to life!
What You’ll Do:- Build Activity Kits: Build kits and materials for activities based on monthly STEM themes
- Lead Activities: facilitate four different STEM education activities for K-8 students by modeling tasks, concepts, and small building projects
- Provide Information: Answer questions about different STEM concepts and engage with the participants
- Make a difference in your community by supporting hands-on STEM education for youth.
- Add to your resume with valuable skills in education, public engagement, and event leadership.
- Be part of a dynamic team working with the next generation of innovators!
- When: The third Saturday of each month, starting February 2025 (individual dates may vary).
- Time: 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM (includes set-up, event time, and clean-up).
- Where: [Location in Philadelphia TBD each month].
