Description:

HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre is dedicated to providing support, resources, and community to those affected by cancer. Special events play a vital role in fundraising, community engagement, and spreading awareness about our mission. As a Special Events Specialist volunteer, you will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing these events to ensure their success and impact.

Responsibilities:

  1. Event Planning: Collaborate with the Events Coordinator and other team members to brainstorm, plan, and organize special events such as fundraising galas, awareness campaigns, community outreach events, and workshops.
  2. Logistics Coordination: Assist in coordinating event logistics including venue selection, catering, equipment rental, transportation, and other necessary arrangements.
  3. Fundraising Support: Help develop fundraising strategies and activities within special events, including silent auctions, raffles, and donation drives.
  4. Participant Engagement: Ensure a positive experience for event participants by providing information, answering questions, and addressing concerns during events.
