Recruiting Organization: Friends of Huddart and Wunderlich Parks

Are you interested in the preservation of our natural resources in San Mateo County? Do you have a passion for the history of our region? Are education programs for school age children and adults something you care about? The Friends of Huddart and Wunderlich Parks may be the non-profit organization for you.

The Friends of Huddart and Wunderlich Parks are seeking interested volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors. We are a fun and diverse group of individuals who have adopted the theme of Hikes, History, and Horses as the driver in the work we do for the County of San Mateo’s Huddart and Wunderlich Parks, both located in Woodside, CA. Since its inception in 2002, The Friends have raised funds for trail improvements in both parks; spearheaded a capital campaign that resulted in the restoration of the exquisite and historic Folger Stable; successfully protected the stable and four other structures in Wunderlich Park by securing them on the National Registry of Historic Places; created a museum that focuses on the history of the region; and manage school field trip programs at both parks.

We have plans for many more programs and projects and need the help of interested individuals to join our Board of Directors in order to realize our goals.
