About Us:

DEFEND is a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to reducing risks for children and vulnerable people online. We are currently building 65square, the world’s healthiest social media and dating platform, designed with game-like features and characteristics of an MMO. Our goal is to create a safer, more positive online space for users.

Role Description:

We are seeking enthusiastic and diverse individuals to participate in a focus group aimed at providing valuable insights for the development of a new social media application designed specifically for non-profit organizations. This app aims to enhance community engagement, facilitate volunteer coordination, and promote awareness of various causes. Your feedback will be instrumental in shaping the features and functionality of this innovative platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate Actively: Engage in discussions regarding the app’s design, usability, and features. Share your thoughts on what functionalities would be most beneficial for users involved with non-profit organizations.
• Provide Constructive Feedback: Offer honest opinions about the app’s concept, interface, and overall user experience. Highlight any potential challenges or improvements that could enhance user satisfaction.
• Collaborate with Other Participants: Work alongside a diverse group of participants to brainstorm ideas and solutions that address community needs through social media.
• Complete Surveys/Questionnaires: After discussions, you may be asked to fill out surveys or questionnaires to quantify your feedback and suggestions.

Qualifications:

• MUST be 18 years and above.
• Interest in Non-Profit Work: A passion for social causes and an understanding of how social media can impact community engagement is essential.
• Diverse Backgrounds Encouraged: We welcome participants from various demographics including age, ethnicity, socio-economic status, and experience with non-profits.
• Comfortable with Technology: Familiarity with social media platforms is required; experience with mobile apps is a plus but not mandatory.
• Good Communication Skills: Ability to articulate thoughts clearly and listen actively to others’ perspectives.
