At Obulamu, we are dedicated to creating positive change and providing support to vulnerable communities. We work on creative educational programs and outreach initiatives to empower children, families, and individuals. As we expand our outreach and initiatives, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Social Media & Marketing Volunteer to join our team and help elevate our fundraising and social media presence.

Role Overview:

This volunteer role will focus on managing Obulamu’s social media platforms, building donor relationships, and running online campaigns. Working closely with our Creative Projects Manager, the volunteer will support key efforts to raise awareness and funding for our initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Social Media Management: Create and manage content for Obulamu’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
• Donor Outreach: Build relationships with potential donors and support outreach strategies for funding.
• Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and monitor online fundraising campaigns to raise funds and awareness.
• Analytics: Track the success of social media campaigns and fundraising efforts, providing regular reports to the team.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Creative Projects Manager to ensure alignment with organizational goals and content strategy.

Qualifications:

• Experience with social media marketing and campaign management.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to think creatively and contribute ideas for engagement.
• Knowledge of fundraising strategies is a plus.
• Passion for supporting community development and social impact.

Time Commitment:

• Flexible, but approximately 10-15 hours per week.
• This is an unpaid volunteer role, and we are happy to work with you on a schedule that fits your needs.

• Remote/Online (with occasional check-ins for strategy meetings).
