Every student needs someone who believes in them, who acts as a cheerleader and says, "You can do this!". Schools in the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD), are requesting volunteers in every subject and at every grade level. Spend one hour, once a week, sharing your skills with a public-school student.
Read with an elementary school student or practice math with a middle schooler, encourage the arts or emphasize STEM, or lead Mindfulness sessions--anything!
San Francisco public school students are still recovering from the pandemic, even though all of last year was in-class instruction, and with huge budget cuts happening in SFUSD, schools could use tons of extra support. Teachers need people who can help inspire and empower students. Volunteer with an SFUSD school for the current school year and help students resume their path to academic success!
