About Us: The Niles Foundation is dedicated to fostering sustainable communities through environmental stewardship, education, and community engagement. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our team as Environmental Community Outreach Volunteers to help increase awareness of community solar incentives.
Location: Los Angeles, South Los Angeles, Watts, Wilmington, Harbor Gateway, Harbor City, San Pedro areas.
Compensation: Stipend 25 Hr
Responsibilities:
- Attend and Assist with Tabling Events: Attend community events and set up informational tables to engage with residents about solar incentives and environmental initiatives.
- Canvassing: Distribute flyers and informational materials to raise awareness about our programs and upcoming events.
- Poster Campaigns: Put up posters in strategic locations to promote community solar incentives and other environmental programs.
- Community Engagement: Interact with community members, answer questions, and provide information about the benefits of solar energy and how to participate in our programs.
- Training: Participate in training sessions to gain knowledge about solar incentives, environmental issues, and effective outreach strategies.
Qualifications:
- Passion for environmental issues and community engagement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to attend events and canvass in various neighborhoods.
- Reliable and Integrable
- Must be willing to learn and participate in training sessions.
