This summer, you can meet people from all over the world. Honor, remember, and volunteer.
The National September 11 Memorial & Museum honors and remembers the nearly 3,000 people killed in the attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993. Summer Visitor Services volunteers are an essential part of our team at the Memorial & Museum as we welcome millions of visitors.
DETAILS:
Summer Visitor Services volunteers play a critical role during this busy time by connecting with visitors and providing a meaningful experience both on the 9/11 Memorial and in the Museum.
We are seeking Summer Visitor Services volunteers of all ages 16+ who are friendly, outgoing, and comfortable assisting Memorial & Museum visitors.
Responsibilities include:
- Welcome and greet visitors
- Proactively offer assistance, answer questions
- Inform visitors about programs and exhibitions available inside the Museum
- Help with directions
With training, you can learn to provide excellent service to our visitors and help them remember 9/11.
TIME COMMITMENT:
We recommend summer volunteers work two 4-hour shifts per week (8 hours each week) for 2-3 months. We ask that you maintain the same two shifts each week, when possible. You are requested not to miss more than two shifts during the summer. We will ask you to make up missed shifts within two weeks.
HOW TO APPLY:
Join our exceptional team today. For more information and to apply, please visit www.911memorial.org/volunteer or contact us at volunteer@911memorial.org. We recommend applying before May 1st.
