About Us:

At Future Tech Leaders, we are dedicated to empowering the next generation of innovators by teaching children, especially from underrepresented backgrounds, technology skills. Our mission is to create more diversity in tech by providing hands-on learning experiences, mentorship, and resources to kids, helping them discover their potential in the ever-evolving digital world.

We are looking for passionate, driven, and creative individuals to join our team as Public Relations (PR) Volunteers. This role will help us raise awareness about our initiatives and promote our mission of inclusivity and diversity in tech.

Role Overview:

As a PR Volunteer, you will play a key role in shaping how our nonprofit connects with the public, schools, parents, and potential donors. You'll work closely with our team to help share our story to inspire others to support our cause.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement PR strategies to increase awareness about our programs and initiatives.
• Write and distribute press releases, newsletters, and blog posts highlighting success stories and events.
• Cultivate relationships with media outlets, bloggers, influencers, and partners.
• Assist in managing our social media presence and creating engaging content to promote events, success stories, and partnerships.
• Help organize and promote virtual and in-person events, workshops, and fundraising campaigns.
• Monitor media coverage and report on the impact of PR efforts.

Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the tech industry.
• Experience in PR, communications, or marketing.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and basic media relations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Creative thinker with the ability to tell compelling stories.
