As a memeory lab volunteer, you'll help patrons digitize and preserve their personal media, offering guidance and support with equipment and software, ensuring a positive experience for all. The Memory Lab at the Napa Library is a collection of equipment that helps community members transform their photos, 8mm film, 35mm slides, VHS and cassette tapes into digital formats.
Skills needed include basic computer, research and communication skills, and competent in giving instruction on a one on one basis. The time commitment for this position is 4 hours per week.
Volunteers will receive training on using the memory lab equipment and softward including topics such as scannng, video capture, and audio conversion.

Description
The volunteer program at the Napa City-County Library is designed to support the mission of the Library. The volunteer program functions within the context of County of Napa regulations, Library policies and procedures, and the official responsibilities of the Library Administration to operate the Library with the highest degree of professionalism. Library volunteers are members of the community who desire to be of service to the community through participation in the life of the Library. Their generosity of time and effort is commendable and appreciated.
