Volunteer Position: Director of Online Services

Position Overview:

The Director of Online Services is a volunteer leadership role responsible for managing and overseeing all digital marketing, online engagement, and digital fundraising efforts. This role focuses on increasing the organization’s online visibility, audience engagement, and achieving the goal of 40 million likes and active participation in NESA Africa 2025. The position requires expertise in online content management, social media marketing, influencer collaborations, and online fundraising.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Digital Strategy & Social Media Growth

* Develop and implement digital marketing strategies to drive engagement across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Telegram, WhatsApp, and emerging platforms).

* Spearhead the campaign to achieve 40 million likes between May and October 2025, ensuring high visibility for the NESA Africa Awards and related initiatives.

* Plan and execute targeted online engagement activities such as contests, challenges, interactive Q&As, and ambassador-led promotions.

2. Online Content Management & Branding

* Supervise content creation for all online platforms, ensuring consistency in messaging, branding, and engagement.

* Work closely with content creators, graphic designers, and video editors to develop engaging posts, promotional videos, and educational materials.

* Develop editorial calendars for all digital channels and ensure the timely publishing of engaging content.

3. Influencer & Ambassador Management

* Identify, recruit, and collaborate with online ambassadors, influencers, and content creators to drive social media campaigns.

* Train and manage a global network of ambassadors who will promote NESA Africa through social media marketing and community engagement.

* Ensure that all influencers and online ambassadors align with the organization’s mission and deliver impactful content.

4. Fundraising & Online Revenue Generation

* Implement digital fundraising strategies through crowdfunding, donation drives, and merchandise sales.

* Develop and oversee an online donation and sponsorship portal integrated into NESA Africa’s website.

* Monitor digital revenue streams, including online sponsorships, paid advertising, and affiliate partnerships.

5. Digital Campaigns & Engagement Tracking

* Lead online campaigns for nominations, voting, and fundraising using referral programs and audience participation incentives.

* Manage analytics and reporting tools to track campaign performance, social media reach, and engagement metrics.

* Ensure strategic adjustments to enhance participation and conversion rates for online engagement.

6. Online Customer Support & Community Engagement

* Oversee a team of online moderators and community managers to ensure real-time engagement with users.

* Manage customer inquiries, FAQs, and online support channels across all digital platforms.

* Implement an effective email and chatbot communication system to assist users.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

* Proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, or online fundraising.

* Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate teams remotely.

* Expertise in managing multi-platform campaigns (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Telegram, WhatsApp).

* Experience working with influencers, online ambassadors, and social media brand partnerships.

* Proficiency in Google Analytics, Meta Ads, SEO, digital advertising, and content management systems (CMS).

* Knowledge of fundraising and e-commerce strategies related to merchandise and online donations.

* Passion for education, community engagement, and non-profit initiatives.

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead virtual teams across different time zones.
