Volunteer Position: Global Director of Ambassador and Membership Services
Location: Regional positions available across Africa and worldwide

Position Overview
The Global Director of Ambassador and Membership Services is a strategic volunteer leadership role responsible for managing and expanding the ambassador and membership network worldwide. This role ensures that NESA Africa 2025, EduAid Africa, and SCEF achieve their collective mission of educational empowerment, advocacy, and community engagement. The director will oversee ambassador reports, competitive award nominee updates, sponsorship outreach, and fundraising activities across all regions.
This position provides a high-impact leadership opportunity, with the chance to participate in the NESA Africa 2025 Awards in Nigeria (October 2025) and engage in global educational and development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ambassador & Membership Management
* Recruit, Train, and Supervise Ambassadors in different regions to represent NESA Africa and EduAid Africa.
* Develop ambassadorial training materials and conduct capacity-building workshops to enhance engagement strategies.
* Ensure structured monthly and quarterly reports from ambassadors covering:
* Local education projects & community engagement.
* Updates on competitive and non-competitive award nominees.
* Fundraising & sponsorship acquisition efforts.
* CSR contributions and donor engagement.
* EduAid Africa scholarship updates & impact assessments.
2. Award Management & Regional Reporting
* Oversee ambassador reporting on award nominees and winners, ensuring visibility for non-competitive award recipients.
* Monitor competitive award categories, tracking trends, voting engagement, and nominee success stories.
* Facilitate nominee interviews with local correspondents for NESA TV and online promotion.
* Prepare pre-award status reports for NESA HQ, summarizing:
* Competitive award nominee highlights (July-October 2025).
* Voting trends and audience engagement insights.
* Impact assessments of non-competitive awards.
3. Sponsorship & Fundraising Initiatives
* Lead fundraising efforts globally, targeting:
* Corporate sponsors (banks, telecom, EdTech, multinational companies).
* Government & educational agencies.
* Philanthropic organizations & NGOs.
* Develop corporate engagement strategies to secure at least 20+ sponsorships per region.
* Coordinate with ambassadors to implement localized fundraising events, such as:
* Charity walks & gala fundraising dinners.
* Scholarship crowdfunding campaigns.
* Donor recognition & appreciation programs.
* Track fundraising impact, ensuring a collective goal of raising $500,000+ for NESA Africa & EduAid Africa.
4. Online & Media Engagement
* Oversee social media marketing campaigns through ambassadors, ensuring:
* Active participation in the 40 million likes campaign (May-October 2025).
* Regular posting and engagement strategies per region.
* Trend analysis & influencer partnerships.
* Supervise NESA TV Ambassador Correspondents, ensuring:
* High-quality media content covering weekly education topics & award coverage.
* Country-specific reports on non-competitive awards from May-October 2025.
* Exclusive interviews with competitive award nominees.
* Monitor digital reporting systems, using:
* Google Drive for ambassador reports.
* Trello/Asana for tracking regional progress.
* Zoom/WhatsApp groups for real-time engagement.
5. Membership Growth & Regional Expansion
* Expand NESA Africa’s membership base, ensuring:
* Each region recruits at least 100+ new paying members annually.
* Ambassadors create localized engagement programs to drive participation.
* Strategic partnerships with African Diaspora organizations for wider reach.
* Facilitate new chapter registration & approval, ensuring:
* Minimum 100+ paying members per chapter before official endorsement.
* Structured local educational projects in compliance with SCEF/NESA standards.
* Coordination with regional directors for oversight and reporting.
6. Quality Assurance & Recognition
* Host Ambassador Training & Development Webinars every two months.
* Establish Ambassador Recognition Programs, including:
* Ambassador of the Month Award - Highlighting top-performing ambassadors.
* Best Regional Correspondence Award - For the best media/reporting engagement.
* Referral Incentive Program - Offering rewards for securing major sponsorships.
* Ensure compliance with organizational branding, ensuring ambassadors align with NESA Africa’s mission.
Qualifications & Skills Required
* Proven experience in volunteer management, fundraising, and community engagement.
* Strong leadership, team coordination, and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage sponsors, donors, and partners.
* Experience in event management, corporate relations, and digital marketing is a plus.
* Passion for education, social impact, and non-profit sector development.
* Ability to travel or coordinate cross-border activities virtually.
* Multilingual candidates (French, Arabic, Swahili, etc.) are encouraged to apply.
