Be a mentor!

We are looking for caring adults to serve as mentors for young people ages 6-24 with disabilities. Our goal in our one-to-one mentoring program, is to empower young people with disabilities to meet their full potential by matching them with a caring adult mentor, who serves as a role model and a friend. The relationship formed between the mentor and mentee has proven invaluable in improving the social and intellectual development and independence of youth and the experience is equally rewarding to the mentors! This volunteer opportunity is in collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club of the Metro South and matches will meet at the clubhouse.

Summary:

  • One-to-one mentoring between adults (18 yrs old and up) and young people (6-24 yrs old) with disabilities
  • Volunteers must live in Massachusetts and be able to travel to the Boys and Girls Club of Metro South Brockton clubhouse location
  • Volunteers must be able to commit to a year long mentorship
  • Volunteers are expected to spend 4-6 hours of engagement a month with their mentee, in-person
