The Embracing You Event Planner Volunteer will play a key role in organizing and executing events that support the organization’s mission. This individual will assist in planning, logistics, and implementation of events, ensuring they are engaging, impactful, and aligned with the nonprofit’s goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to conceptualize and plan events, including fundraisers, community outreach, and awareness campaigns.

- Assist in creating event timelines, checklists, and budgets.

- Secure venues, vendors, and necessary supplies for events.

- Support the promotion of events through social media, email campaigns, and community outreach.

- Work with the marketing team to design and distribute event materials such as flyers, invitations, and online posts.

- Engage with community members, businesses, and sponsors to encourage participation and support.

- Coordinate event logistics, including setup, registration, and guest experience.

- Serve as a point of contact during events to address any issues or last-minute needs.

- Ensure events run smoothly, handling tasks such as coordinating volunteers and managing schedules.

- Assist in gathering attendee feedback and evaluating the success of the event.

- Help prepare thank-you notes for participants, donors, and sponsors.

- Organize event materials and document key learnings for future reference.

Qualifications

- Passion for the nonprofit’s mission and goals.

- Strong organizational and project management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

- Previous experience in event planning or coordination is a plus but not required.
