Volunteers are needed at Minnewaska State Park and Sam's Point area! The Morgan Duke Conservation Society is looking for individuals, high school students, and college students to help keep this beautiful place clean for many generations to come. Volunteers can assist park staff with litter patrol around Lake Minnewaska trails, near the swimming and picnic areas, as well as at Sam's Point.


No skills or experience are required for litter patrol volunteers. They may focus on a specific section of trail or provide services while exploring various areas within the park. Volunteers can create their own self-guided, flexible schedule and show up anytime.


The Morgan Duke Conservation Society provides volunteers with supplies and volunteers are cover under workers' compensation through the State.

Employers or groups interested in taking their group to Minnewaska State Park or Sam's Point for a volunteer day can contact the Morgan Duke Conservation Society to arrange a group volunteering day
