The Programs Manager must exemplify great leadership and communication skills to manage many moving pieces in a timely and organized manner. The Programs Manager operates under the Programs Director and manages the growth of all concerts and Area Representatives in a predesignated area. Applicants must be Area Representatives first before being eligible for this position unless otherwise stated.
Responsibilities: The Programs Manager position can be broken down into the following responsibilities:
Program development and oversight
Work in tandem with the Programs Director and other Programs Managers to ensure the process of assigning Area Representatives to local assisted living facilities is meeting its full potential
Oversee designated area and expand it to include 1-2 concerts/month at multiple facilities. This will be the role’s long-term goal
Advertise concerts to local musicians as necessary
Communicate with assisted living facilities via email and/or phone to ensure that live concerts run smoothly
Staff Communication
Read and respond to emails in a timely manner
Attend weekly all-staff meetings and weekly Programs meetings
Participate in staff trainings
Act with appropriate conduct as a staff member of Art of the Heart

Art of the Heart works on bringing the joy and comfort of music to senior citizens, those who are developmentally disabled, isolated pediatric patients & low-income adults, and provides young musicians with a space to showcase their skills in the form of community outreach.
Description
Founded in 2020 and based in San Jose, California, Art of the Heart organizes live concerts at senior living facilities, connecting young musicians to seniors. More than 5,000 have participated in our programs so far.
