April 8 to May 10, 2025, Mexican Muralist Marisol D' Estrabeau will be creating a mural in Madison, Wisconsin. She is looking for assistants to help create the mural. Marisol will be working for the BAYVIEW FOUNDATION AND REDEVELOPMENT PLAN.
Bayview Foundation’s mission is to support its culturally diverse, low-income families in realizing their aspirations by providing affordable housing, fostering cultural pride, and building community through the arts, education, and recreation. Bayview provides safe, affordable housing and vital services to a diverse community of individuals, families and seniors in one corner of the "Triangle" created by West Washington Avenue, Regent, and South Park Streets in the heart of Madison’s downtown.
The mural theme is Movement, Identity and Community.
Marisol will hand paint the 40 ft. mural on a housing building from the 780 Block of West Washington, Madison.
She is requesting assistance with transportation, painters, film makers, social media, lift operator and basic production people of all ages.
She is very excited to meet you and share her skills and teach you all she knows about how to make a magical mural.

Description
We have taught with volunteers over 10,000 children around the world. We teach portrait painting. Our new program is titled "PORTRAIT OF A HERO".
Our murals are a unifying community art project. We use community members to paint individual one-foot square tiles that are assembled in a grid to form the large scale painted portrait.
The mural can be of any hero or heroine, meaningful image, logos, mascot, historical character, slogans, or other significant image.
The primary goal of the mural is to create a connection between hero or heroine and community. Each artist personalizes their tile with their name, which records their participation and bonds them to the community experience. It reinforces the story of the hero or heroine. As the community views an iconic portrait of their family member or cultural leader captured on such a large scale, it creates strong feelings of pride. Pride leads to feelings of well-being, unity, and gives a community a greater sense of self-identity. There is a great cohesive power of having strong common heroes. Participation gives feelings of accomplishment that lead to desire to complete other goals in life.
