About IAmCollegeLife:
IAmCollegeLife is a social club dedicated to empowering autistic individuals in their journey to independence in college, work, and home life. Through expert training, essential resources, and a supportive community, we provide the tools needed to help individuals with autism thrive in every aspect of their lives. Our mission is to make sure that every autistic individual has access to the support they need to succeed in their education, career, and personal development.

Role Overview:
We are looking for a Volunteer Partnership Specialist who is passionate about IAmCollegeLife's mission and committed to securing new opportunities to support our programs and services. This volunteer will be responsible for researching and securing funding opportunities and in-kind donations from foundations, corporations, and government sources. You will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with these organizations to ensure continued support for our cause.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research Funding Opportunities: Identify and research potential funding opportunities, including grants, donations, and in-kind contributions from foundations, corporations, and government sources.
  • Outreach and Relationship Building: Reach out to prospective funders and partners through calls, emails, and other communications to secure funding or free resources. Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners.
  • Proposal Writing: Assist in writing proposals and requests for funding, outlining our mission, goals, and impact. Craft clear, compelling narratives that demonstrate the importance of supporting IAmCollegeLife's programs.
  • Track and Report: Keep track of funding opportunities, applications, and communications with partners. Provide regular reports on the status of partnerships and funding requests, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Partnership Strategy: Help develop and implement strategies for building long-term partnerships with corporations, foundations, and government entities to support IAmCollegeLife's mission.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the team to align partnership efforts with overall organizational goals, including fundraising campaigns and program expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Strong passion for IAmCollegeLife’s mission and a commitment to supporting autistic individuals.
  • Proven experience or interest in researching and securing funding from foundations, corporations, and government sources.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships and engage with external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and compelling proposals and outreach materials.
  • Knowledge of fundraising and partnership-building best practices is a plus, but not required.

Benefits of Volunteering:

  • Make a meaningful impact by helping secure funding and resources that directly support autistic individuals in achieving independence.
  • Gain valuable experience in partnership development, grant writing, and nonprofit fundraising.
  • Work closely with a dedicated, mission-driven team in a flexible, remote environment.
  • Build your professional network and enhance your resume with hands-on experience in nonprofit management and development.
  • Be a key player in an organization that is making a tangible difference in the lives of autistic individuals.

How to Apply:
If you are passionate about creating opportunities for others and are ready to help IAmCollegeLife secure the resources it needs to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you! Please send your resume and a brief cover letter explaining your interest in the role and how your skills align with the responsibilities to connect@iamcollegelife.org.
