Position Title: Community Outreach Volunteer Program: Glamour Girls and More

Location: Alief Area - Webster and surrounding area Commitment:

[Specify hours per week/month; duration of commitment, e.g., 3 months, 6 months]

Reporting To: Program Coordinator

About the Role: As a Community Outreach Volunteer for the Glamour Girls and More Program, you will play a crucial role in connecting with the community and uplifting young women aged 15-21, including aged-out foster youth. This position is perfect for those who are passionate about youth empowerment, community engagement, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Community Engagement: -

Actively seek out and build relationships with local schools, organizations, and community centers to promote the Glamour Girls and More program.

Collaborate with community partners to identify strategic opportunities for outreach and recruitment.

2. Event Coordination: -

Assist in organizing and promoting workshops, seminars, and events that align with the program’s mission of leadership, character, identity, and educational development. -

Help coordinate logistics for outreach events, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all participants. 3. Mentorship Support: -

Facilitate connections between mentors and mentees, helping to foster relationships that promote personal and leadership development. -

Encourage program participants to engage with the materials and skills presented during mentorship sessions.

4. Marketing and Communication:

Help develop and disseminate marketing materials, including flyers, social media content, and newsletters that inform the community about upcoming opportunities and events. -

Utilize social media platforms to increase program visibility and community engagement.

5. Feedback and Reporting: -

Gather feedback from participants and community partners to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts and identify areas for improvement. -

Regularly report to the Program Coordinator on outreach activities and participant engagement metrics.

Qualifications: -

Passion for youth empowerment, particularly for young women and marginalized groups. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. -

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team. -

Experience in community outreach, event planning, or related fields is a plus, but not required. - Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities within the program.
