Secure Vital Funding: Virtual Grant Writer Volunteer

Role Overview:

The JJ Center Inc. is seeking a strategic and results-driven Virtual Grant Writer to play a pivotal role in securing the funding necessary to expand and sustain our vital community programs. This is a unique virtual volunteer opportunity for a skilled writer and researcher to directly impact our mission by identifying and pursuing strategic grant opportunities. We are seeking a proactive individual with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with funders and drive impactful results.

This position is designed for individuals who may not have direct experience but possess strong analytical and writing abilities, and are eager to master the art of grant proposal development. You'll be an integral part of our efforts to secure vital funding, learning every step of the process from identifying prospects to crafting persuasive narratives.

What You'll Do:

  • Research and identify potential funding sources (foundations, corporate donors, government grants).

  • Learn to analyze grant guidelines and requirements.

  • Prepare drafts of grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and other fundraising materials.

  • Assist with data collection and impact reporting for grant applications.

  • Help maintain our grant calendar and donor database.

  • Individuals with a strong desire to learn and grow in grant writing and research.

  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Comfortable with research and information synthesis.
