A Volunteer Recruitment Volunteer Partner serves as a peer and confidante, working collaboratively with Red Cross leadership to support and achieve recruitment goals. This role is essential in developing, engaging, and sustaining a strong volunteer workforce for the organization.

Location: Hybrid (Remote Monday - Friday, In-Person in Santa Ana on Thursdays)

Time Commitment: 7-15 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic implementation work plan outlining objectives, strategies, and tactics to support volunteer recruitment priorities.
  • Set realistic targets and focus on delivering measurable results.
  • Identify and address challenges impacting recruitment efforts, implementing solutions to enhance effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of engagement that aligns with the Red Cross mission and values.
  • Build and develop a recruitment team of skilled volunteers.
  • Actively recruit volunteers to ensure continuity and coverage in critical roles.
  • Assign and mentor volunteers, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities based on recruitment strategies.
  • Incorporate training and development programs into volunteer work plans to enhance team performance.
  • Establish a succession plan to maintain leadership continuity within the volunteer recruitment team.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed to support recruitment initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong organizational and strategic planning abilities.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective communication skills, including phone, email, and virtual engagement.
  • Experience with volunteer management or recruitment is a plus.
  • Ability to motivate and mentor volunteers in a supportive and professional manner.
