The Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk brings our community together. It unites families with bleeding disorders and chapters with family, friends, neighbors and coworkers to support important programs and services to help people with hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, and other rare bleeding disorders in our community.

We need your help! On Saturday, September 6, 2025, nearly 350 runners and walkers will join us for our annual Run for Their Lives 5K and Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk at the North Park Swimming Pool in Gibsonia, PA. Participants will run and walk to raise critical funds and awareness for the bleeding disorders community.

Mission Statement

WPCNHF strives to enrich the lives of those with bleeding disorders in Western Pennsylvania and respond to the needs of the community in a dynamic environment.

Description

WPCNHF is part of a larger umbrella organization - National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF). Established in 1948, NHF is the premier organization in the U.S. serving the bleeding and clotting disorders community. For sixty years, NHF continues to be a vital resource for prevention education and provides a network of support for the estimated 3 million Americans living with bleeding disorders and their families.

At our local chapter, WPCNHF assists families and individuals through a variety of programs and services including peer support groups, emergency financial assistance, advocacy, support for summer camps and educational programs to stay informed. It is our goal to promote opportunities for people who have a bleeding disorder to lead normal, productive lives.
