Interested in celebrating Earth Day by making a positive impact on your community that will last years? Sign-up to join the Community Forestry team to plant over 60 native trees and add to the urban tree canopy in the Near Southside neighborhood! This planting is sponsored by International Paper in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, and is a part of KIB's larger cleanup and forestry efforts along Pleasant Run. Thanks to your participation, the trees you plant will bring the benefits of cleaner air, carbon mitigation, and stormwater retention to Indianapolis communities. The tree planting demonstration will begin at 9:05pm the latest, please be sure to arrive to find parking ahead of the start time to ensure you learn how to properly plant a tree.

Safety: We highly recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing and close-toed shoes. We always recommend bringing a reusable bottle for water but we will have disposable cups available if needed. KIB will provide tools and gloves.
Parking and Facilities: Parking is available across from the Emmanuel Church Garfield Park Campus located at 743 East Pleasant Run Parkway S Dr Indianapolis, IN, 46203. A portalet will be placed near the project site.
