MindFreedom International is organizing an ad hoc coalition in Oregon to oppose legislation that would make it easier to involuntarily commit individuals who are perceived to be having a mental health crisis. If this bill passes, it means more individuals in Oregon will be have choices taken away and their autonomy and bodily integrity will be violated. They will be subjected to forced drugging. restraints, electroshock, solitary confinement, police interventions, and institutionalization. This is not mental health care; it is control and it is ineffective, inhumane, and traumatizing. We need a volunteer graphic designer with logo creation experience to create a coalition logo and a tee shirt design for a Day at the Capitol on April 25, 2025. The name of the coalition is Oregon Coalition for Choice in Mental Health and our tagline is "Caring is not Controlling"
