The 2025 Northern California Kidney Walk hosted by the National Kidney Foundation serving the West is a San Francisco Bay Area tradition! We are looking for volunteers to help us with all aspects of this family-friendly 5K inside PayPal Park in San Jose, CA on Sunday, June 1, 2025.

We would like volunteers for one of two shifts:

1 Early) 6am-10am (setup only)

or

2 All-Day) 6am-12:30pm (setup to breakdown)

If you are planning to join the Walk but can help setup before that, please join us for the early shift! If you can volunteer for the entire event, please select all-day.

We need volunteers to help:

  • Set up supplies and equipment
  • Help Walkers register
  • Help NKF staff manage the festival area
  • Cheer and direct Walkers along the route
  • Break down and organize supplies and equipment
  • Provide support to NKF staff as needed

We are also looking for volunteers (at least 2) willing to act as our mascot, Sidney the Kidney. We provide the costume, you provide the moves! Please email directly if you're interested in being Sidney.

  • Sun Jun 01, 2025 - 06:00 AM to 10:00 AM PST - Spots available: 10+
    Early Shift: 6am-10am (setup only)
  • Sun Jun 01, 2025 - 06:00 AM to 12:30 PM PST - Spots available: 10+
    All-Day: 6am-12:30pm (setup to breakdown)
