We know it can be difficult to get out in the winter months, but the spring and summer bring along so much extra time and energy. Spend it with our patients at Heart to Heart Hospice. We are looking for volunteers who have time to spend 1 to 3 hours a month visiting hospice patients and their families. Hospice volunteers provide caregiver relief, companionship and emotional support at the hardest time in an individuals life. Many volunteers play cards, read to patients, watch tv, listen to music, bring patients to facility activities, or simply provide a listening ear. Description
Our Southgate office is looking for volunteers both in the clerical/administrative and patient visit capacities. We have a growing office with a very friendly staff and are seeking those who wish to give of themselves but are prepared to recieve far more than they give. Patient visits are completed in homes, nursing facilities, and adult foster care. We are very flexible and will work around your availability.
