Are you passionate about social media and eager to help gain hands-on experience in social media curation and management while contributing to a community-centered nonprofit focused on saving vulnerable felines? Join our team as a Social Media Intern and help us grow our social media, expanding on our current base and covering a diverse range of topics. This three month long unpaid internship offers valuable hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the creation of social media content
• Design graphics for social media platforms
• Create long-term planning and strategy for social media platforms
• Edit and finalize videos/reels
• Post to stories and manage messages
• Come up with concepts for posts
• Help maintain brand voice and image

Qualifications:

• Extensive social media experience and knowledge including of current trends
• Passionate about online presence
• Strong creativity and design skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

We are seeking an intern who can commit to some in-person work at the Paws and Claws Cat Adoption Center in Evanston while also doing some remote work. This is a hybrid position with flexible hours.

Paws and Claws Cat Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit in Evanston, founded in May of 2020. We focus on saving cats at risk of euthanasia and bringing the people who love them together.
