Help promote a love of reading and encourage critical comprehension skills that motivates participants to actively engage with each weekly reading, while fostering a healthy competition by testing their knowledge of various literary works through a fun and challenging format. This event is aimed to improve reading fluency and comprehension while making reading and storytelling an exciting element of everyday life. Volunteers are needed to help with activities and work alongside families, building connections and fostering community collaboration.

Brilliant Detroit is dedicated to building kid success families and neighborhoods where families with children 0-8 have what they need to be school ready, healthy and stable. We do this by providing proven programming and support year-round out of Brilliant Detroit homes in high-need neighborhoods.
