The Bluesky Lead is responsible for managing the organization’s presence on Bluesky, with a focus on creating and executing strategies to increase engagement and reach. This role involves close collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team to develop and implement content and advertising campaigns. The Bluesky Lead will also manage post creation, scheduling, and moderation of comments and messages, as well as analyze performance metrics to optimize future strategies. Additionally, the role includes recruiting, staffing, and training moderators to ensure effective community management. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategies to increase engagement and reach on the organization’s Bluesky account
• Create, schedule, and publish posts, including text, images, and videos
• Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to create and implement content and advertising campaigns
• Moderate comments and messages, respond to inquiries, and provide customer service
• Recruit, staff, and train moderators to ensure effective community management and support
• Analyze performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversions) and use data to inform and improve future strategies
• Represent the organization at meetings, events, and functions, aligning with Bluesky goals

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience managing Bluesky or similar short-form social media accounts
• Experience in recruiting, staffing, and training moderators
• Strong understanding of social media best practices and performance metrics
• Experience with Bluesky’s advertising platform and analytics tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Preferred: A member of the transgender or gender non-conforming community
