Volunteer Needed
Hospice Compassus needs volunteers with a flexible schedule to be available when family caregivers have Dr appointments. Frequently family caregivers need somone to sit with their loved ones for a few hours while they take care of different appointments. This job would come up once or twice a month and would need a volunteer with a flexible schedule who could arange a one off visit with a patient when needs arrive. Volunteer would be asked to spend 2-4 hours per visit to give family time to get back from appointments.
Volunteer expectations for these vistis.
- keep patients company untill family returns
- Call the hospice with any concerns
- Do activities with the patient
Volunteers are not expected to provide medical or personal care under any circumstances.
