Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue is in need of consistent, dedicated, and animal loving volunteers to help us maintain our cat units at our adoption center at Petco in Denver, CO Mondays-Saturdays at 9AM! Approximately takes about 1.5 hours or less depending on the number of cats in the units!
Volunteer Roles:
- Must LOVE cats of all ages and temperaments: each of our sweet felines deserves love and attention at your visit!
- Clean and Reset their cat unit: requires an ability to lift a tub of litter, be able to raise your arms and sweep/mop.
- Play: Sit and visit with the cats, entertain them with the toys provided, offer them love and cuddles!
- Ensure Cats Safety: Ensure their enclosures are clean, safe, and their needs are all met!

Mission Statement
To rescue, foster, vet and re-home unwanted shelter animals and promote spay and neuter of all animals. End Pet Overpopulation with our SPAY IT FORWARD program, providing subsidized spay neuter surgeries for impoverished counties in the South West US.
Description
A few of us volunteered at a local rescue here in Colorado. While fostering was rewarding, the needs of the animals were not all met - we were isoltated with our charges and unsupported. Not feeling the most was was being done for the sake of the animals, we felt inspired. "WE CAN DO BETTER!"
Fortunately, there were others that felt the same and the Rocky Mountains Puppy Rescue was born! We credit our previous experiences as having inspired us to dig deeper into the rescue community...NO ONE works alone and se we sat down to hash out the beginnings of RMPR. We have expanded and added many positions including a Foster and Volunteer Coordinator, Operations Mnager, and an Event & Online Content Manager. Many folks have joined the mission and have added many wonderful facets to the group.
