BMORE Beautiful is partnering with our friends at Kirby Lane Park to host a morning family-friendly Earth Day celebration! Come create sunflower seed balls and learn about their flower power to remediate soil, feed local pollinators, and beautify vacant lots! We will also have kid-friendly games and free plants to share! Learn about the history of Kirby Lane Park from its legendary steward Donald Quarles and work together with us to do a spring clean-up in honor of Earth Day! Mission Statement
BMORE Beautiful is a grassroots peer-to-peer beautification program. The goal of the program is to not only change behaviors and attitudes towards the beautification of the City, but to also encourage residents, businesses, and organizations to become directly involved in activities and projects that will keep their neighborhoods clean.
Description
We work closely with neighborhoods on their unique beautification projects and cleanliness challenges, as well as provide educational literature, outreach materials, and other resources that residents can use to Keep BMORE Beautiful. There are six elements essential to our approach: community organizing, seasonal community champions summits, community improvement projects, troubleshooting, communication, and education.
