This important volunteer position is to ensure adequate support is provided to the responding disaster workforce responsible for delivering Red Cross services to the Tennessee Region of the American Red Cross.

This position is responsible for receiving the information regarding a house fire or other local disaster after the event occurs and dispatching the on-call Disaster Action Team in the community to respond and provide comfort and Red Cross Services. This role is also responsible for logging the details of each even in our internal system. The Duty Officer (dispatcher) is essential in the delivery of American Red Cross services to people in one of their darkest hours. You are scheduled on a rotation based on your expressed availability.
