JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/ Objective

Mentor A Promise (the "MAP"), is a 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to working with students experiencing housing instability and homelessness in the City of New York. We provide our students with socio-emotional learning, academic support, and mentorship.

Essential Functions

Duties include, but are not limited to the following key activities:

Management and Continuous Improvement:

• Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing team, providing supervision and guidance to ensure successful program execution and team development
• Manage key performance indicators - measuring program effectiveness, tracking progress and assessing overall program impact
• Ensure ongoing quality and timely data collection
• Use data and feedback to continuously improve programs, ensuring they drive results that support our students

Program Development:

• Provide oversite and direction to all our Mentors, in-person program and online program
• Recruit, on-board, orient, and develop our Mentors
• Provide supervision to all Mentors and delivery of services on a day-to-day basis, to ensure that all goals, targets, and performance outcomes are met on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
• Responsible for participant recruitment and retention strategies

Administrative:

• Prepare a monthly calendar of events, programs, meetings, and activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Remote Engagement:

• Experience facilitating live and pre-recorded activities
• Familiarity using web-based platforms to engage participants: zoom, google meet and Teams
