Excited to be outside and in nature?
We are looking for amazing, creative, energetic volunteers to help support our 7 week spring Monday after school social emotional group at Glen Canyon Park in San Francisco. Bearfoot is a 100% nature based pediatric OT practice based in the Bay Area and we love working with volunteers in our group programming who want hands on experience working with children in this unique setting.
Details:
- 7 week series
- Dates: Every Monday, April 7th - June 2nd
- No sessions 4/28 or 5/26
- Extra make up sessions: 6/9 and 6/16
- Glen Canyon Park, San Francisco
- 3:30-5:45 pm every week (3:15pm on first day)
Requirements:
- Must be able to attend at least 4 of the 7 sessions to be considered
- Fingerprinting/background check required (volunteer responsible for cost)
- Interview with Bearfoot's owner required before application is fully approved

Description
Bearfoot OT was started in order to meet the need of Bay Area families and their kids to get outside and play in nature! We offer individual, sibling and playdate occupational therapy sessions as well as small nature-based social groups. Through outdoor nature play, we help improve various areas that are essential to healthy child development such as gross motor and fine motor skills, self regulation, sensory processing - as well as improving creativity and imagination! Bearfoot's sessions are held in Glen Park Canyon, the Presidio, or China Camp in rain, shine, warm or cold. All sessions are led by a skilled occupational therapist.
