Garden Helpers are needed for the Rogue Retreat Hope Garden Team. This volunteer position will help Rogue Retreat staff and shelter guests produce fresh produce for Hope Kitchen. Hope Kitchen feeds over 320 shelter guests each day at three locations. Volunteers will help increase the access to fresh and healthy food for shelter guests and educate them on the basics of gardening. No previous experience with food systems, nutrition, or farming is needed, although it is preferred. Ongoing training will be provided for the volunteer. Volunteers will assist on designated work days with scheduled tasks and planting. They will assist Hope Kitchen staff and shelter guests with harvesting vegetables.

Rogue Retreat serves homeless and unsheltered people in Southern Oregon.

We meet people experiencing homelessness where they are, stabilize them with shelter and housing first, and then provide the supportive services they need to transition back into the community. Our operations encompass a full spectrum of innovative, creative, and temporary housing solutions, combined with supportive services to help people restore their lives.
