ORGANIZATION: Grand View Health
Please visit the new page to apply.
Grand View Hospice invites compassionate people to join the GVH Hospice Volunteer Team. Hospice provides comprehensive care to people who are at end of life, and the hospice team provides a support system for the caregiver and family. Hospice volunteers offer camaraderie to a patient and their caregiver and can offer respite for the caregiver by staying with the patient. Veterans who volunteer provide support to fellow veterans that is unique and special. Volunteers visit patients in their home, in an assisted living facility, or the hospital. Visits are scheduled approximately once a week at a mutually agreeable time at the volunteer's discretion. For more information on the requirments needed and to complete and application, please visit www.gvh.org/volunteer. Additional training is required for hospice volunteering. If you have any questions, please contact Donna Selya, GVH Hospice Volunteer Coordinator at 215-453-2957.
