We have a unique opportunity with several patients requesting volunteer visits in one location!
All you need to join us is:
- A caring heart
- Good listening skills
- The desire to connect and serve others
As a friendly visitor you give the gift of you time to help the families with loved ones on hospice. By visiting you give joy and companionship to our patients and ease the mind of our often burdened families.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide visits to patients
Secondary Responsibilities
- Complete a simple visit form to give to the Volunteer Manager
Training Process
- We meet with the volunteer candidates for a simple get-to- know you
- Complete the required forms for working with vulnerable individuals
- Targeted manual training, and then in-person, in-the-field training, we take you to the facility you will provide visits and train with you until you are comfortable
Time Committment
- 1-2x/month with flexibility
- This unique role has all the patients in one location, giving you many opportunities to share and connect
