About Us:
Our mission is to offer training and structured work opportunities to young adults with special needs in their area of interest. Our goal is to attract and maintain a strong customer base by offering an upscale, boutique-style experience, at thrift store prices. Most importantly, we strive to exceed expectations through personalized service and attention to detail.
About the Role:
We are looking for detail-oriented and tech-savvy volunteers to serve as Price Researchers. As a Price Researcher, you will help determine fair and competitive pricing for donated items based on online market value and our store’s resale guidelines. Your work will ensure that our store remains affordable while maximizing the value of donations to support our mission and community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research the value of donated items, including art, clothing, toys, furniture, and other goods, using online marketplaces and pricing guides.
- Set fair and competitive prices based on research and store pricing guidelines.
- Identify valuable or unique items that may require special pricing or handling.
- Maintain records of pricing trends and assist in developing pricing strategies.
- Work closely with store staff and other volunteers to ensure accurate and efficient pricing.
