Our mission is to offer training and structured work opportunities to young adults with special needs in their area of interest. Our goal is to attract and maintain a strong customer base by offering an upscale, boutique-style experience, at thrift store prices. Most importantly, we strive to exceed expectations through personalized service and attention to detail.

About the Role:

We are seeking detail-oriented and dedicated volunteers to serve as Donation Sorters. As the first to receive and inspect donations at our store, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that only quality items make it to our shelves. You will help assess, categorize, and prepare donations for pricing and sale, ensuring a smooth process that supports our mission and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect donated items for quality and usability.
  • Dispose of items that are unfit for resale according to our guidelines.
  • Sort and categorize acceptable donations (e.g., clothing, homeware, etc).
  • Prepare sorted items for processing before pricing and display.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sorting area.
  • Communicate with staff and fellow volunteers to ensure operations.
