LEARNING & TEACHING BY GARDENING
County Farm Park | Tuesdays April through September | 9:30am - 11:30am
Level-up your gardening skills in the best way possible: by actively gardening as part of a community of gardeners sharing their skills. You’ll work alongside the Washtenaw County Parks horticulture team to grow and maintain the inspiring Geometry in Bloom (the octagonal pyramid) garden at County Farm Park. Make a difference in your community and grow your gardening expertise while you’re at it! Snacks and gloves provided-bring a water bottle.
Youth volunteers welcome! Pre-registration required. Must be at least 11 years old. For ages 11-15, parent/guardian must volunteer with child. For ages 16-17, parent/guardian signed permission slip required.

Description
Washtenaw County's 27 cities, villages and townships are home to about 325,000 citizens in urban, suburban, and rural settings. This mix of different settings provides many opportunities for education, recreation, business, agricultural, and home life. The two largest cities are Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, homes to two large universities - the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti.
