The HOPES Team is excited to announce our upcoming volunteer training on April 15, 2025, and is currently seeking suicide loss survivor volunteers from across New Jersey-particularly those in the Northern and Southern regions. We are looking for individuals who have experienced a personal loss of someone to suicide and are interested in helping us expand our outreach efforts statewide.

Volunteers will be trained as peer responders with the HOPES program and will provide both immediate and delayed support to families who have lost a child (aged 21 or younger) to suicide. The training will cover essential topics, including the eight core actions of psychological first aid, strategies for supporting newly bereaved survivors, building personal resilience, and more.

All potential volunteers will be scheduled for a virtual zoom interview and will receive an invitation to our upcoming training.
