Summer ShowCase Family Night at Myers-Wilkins Elementary School
WHAT? Volunteers needed to help serve food, set up/take down tables, and be door greeters
WHERE? Myers-Wilkins Elementary (1027 N 8th Ave E, Duluth, MN 55805) in the Gym/Cafeteria
WHEN? Thursday, March 20th from 5-7PM (set-up at 4PM, take down at 7PM)
Health Fair Night at Myers Wilkins Elementary School
WHAT? Volunteers needed to help serve food, set up/take down tables, be door
Greeters and help with the school food pantry
WHERE? Myers-Wilkins Elementary (1027 N 8th Ave E, Duluth, MN 55805)
WHEN? Thursday, April 17th from 5-7PM (set-up at 4PM, take down at 7PM)
Honor the Youth Powwow, Lincoln Park Middle School
2 days of volunteering needed.
Day One, Setup
WHAT? Volunteering Needed
Set up trash cans
Set up pop-up pantry
Sound system setup
Set up bleachers and chairs
Sanitizing tables and food serving area
Other duties as needed
WHERE? Lincoln Park (3251 W 3rd St, Duluth, Mn 558066)
WHEN? Friday May 2nd from 3:30-6:30 (until we are finished)
Day Two, Helping at the actual event
WHAT? Volunteering Needed
Registration table for dancers
Help warmly welcome and sign-in all guests
Float and monitor hallways-
Hhelp with pop-up pantry
Serve food from noon to 1 or 1:30 pm.
Taking down pop-up pantry (2-4 people)
Putting back bleachers, chairs, tables (as many as possible, 10+)
Cleaning tables, food areas, picking up litter, sweeping (as many as possible, 6+)
Other duties as needed

WHEN? Saturday May 3rd from 11-5 (until we are finished)

Description
The Duluth Community School Collaborative is a nonprofit that provides services in several Duluth Public Schools, including Myers-Wilkins Elementary School, Lincoln Park Middle, and Denfeld High. These schools serve families with higher rates of poverty than many others in the District. Poverty often leads to academic under-performance, and limited access to the educational, social, and cultural enrichment opportunities.
The Duluth Community School Collaborative works with community organizations and individuals to support academic success and well-being of the whole child. We provide academic support, enrichment, arts and cultural activities, employment readiness, health-related services, and various other programming to holistically meet students' needs at our three sites.
The impact of these services extends far beyond the walls of the school, benefiting neighborhoods, partner organizations, businesses, and the city of Duluth.
