ORGANIZATION: Center for Work Education and Employment

Are you interested in assisting to provide resources for low-income families?

The Center for Work Education and Employment (CWEE) provides essential resources for participants, and we would love your support in making those resources available to the participants.

Resource Room: Assist our participants in accessing essential resources such as food, diapers, baby and maternity clothing to support their daily needs. Volunteers will be stocking supplies, greeting participants, and assisting individuals as they shop.

Time: The resource room is open on Monday - Thursday from 9am - 4pm. We will work with your schedule, if interested in volunteering.

The Center for Work Education and Employment (CWEE) is a non-profit that helps low-income families who are under or unemployed access workforce development, education and training, essential resources, mental health support, and transformative coaching to support economic mobility and growth.

Description

The Center for Work Education and Employment's program supports for low-income, career seeking parents through three key programs: Foundational, Wellness, and Employment and Education programming. In the Foundational phase, CWEE helps participants set goals related to housing, childcare, and transportation to ensure long-term employment stability. The Wellness component provides trauma-informed counseling and social-emotional learning to improve emotional regulation and stress management. The Employment and Education program offers personalized career readiness training, digital skills, job search support, and information on educational opportunities like college and trade programs.
