ORGANIZATION: FLORIDA GRAND OPERA INC

We at Florida Grand Opera are looking forward to another exciting show this April: Carmen by Georges Bizet! This an extra special production, as it is being directed by Maria Todaro, General Director of Florida Grand Opera.We are looking for volunteers to help in the front lobby area. There are a wide range of positions to be filled: directing/greeting patrons, helping at activity stations, set-up/clean-up, etc. The performance days and locations are as follows:

Arsht Center

  • Apr 10, 2025 at 7:30 pm
  • Apr 12, 2025 at 7:00 pm

  • Apr 13, 2025 at 3:00 pm (Pre-Opera Talk at 2:00 pm)

  • Apr 15, 2025 at 8:00 pm

We ask that you arrive in the lobby about 1.5hrs before the start of the opera. Please be dressed in all black. If you are volunteering for opening night, April 12th, please wear your most formal black. Description

Florida Grand Opera, the oldest performing arts organization in Florida, celebrates its 83rd year of continuously producing grand opera during the 2024-25 season. The mainstage operas of the season include Mozart's The Magic Flute on ; Donizetti's The Elixir of Love on ; and Bizet's Carmen on.

Founded in 1941 as Greater Miami Opera and later merging with The Opera Guild Inc. in 1994, FGO presents a mixture of standard repertoire and contemporary works as well as commissions and new productions - all featuring projected translations in English and Spanish. Performances occur in the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Miami as well as the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale.
