On Wednesday, March 19th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassadors in collaboration with the NJ State Park Service is hosting a cleanup of The Hermitage State Park’s many gardens to prepare them for spring. This will include clearing debris, removing nuisance plant species, and cleaning up litter.
Come volunteer at this event to assist in maintaining this beautiful historical site and learn more about New Jersey’s history!
Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, and bring plenty of water. You are welcome to bring your own work gloves and tools, but they will also be provided. Plenty of parking will be available in the lot by the visitor’s center.
The address is 335 Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423, and we will be meeting in front of the visitor’s center.
All are welcome! Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
