Volunteer with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Convervancy to learn more about native SoCal ecosystems as well as teach others on the best practices to support them.
Why: Outdoor Volunteer Days offer volunteers of all ages the chance to restore native habitats through activities like weeding, planting, and watering.
Who: The mission of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) is to preserve land and restore habitat for the education and enjoyment of all.
What to Expect:
Volunteers will act as team leaders. In this role you will learn about local native plants, restoration techniques, and other sustainable methods that will be taught to other participants.
This training will be delivered in an outdoor space.
What's Required:
Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and bring their own sun protection.
All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and register in advance to participate.
If you are under 18 years old, volunteers must have a parent or guardian sign and complete their release form before they can volunteer.

Description
The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) manages over 1600 acres of open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and two nature centers with native plant demonstration gardens. The PVPLC engages volunteers in the development and maintenance of native plant gardens in order to demonstrate how gardening with native plants is beneficial for the environment.
