ORGANIZATION: USDA Forest Service

1. Campground

· Check and re-stock fee envelopes

· Make sure information boards are posting appropriate information and orderly

· Inform campers of current issues or closures,

· Check to see that fee stubs are displayed at occupied campsites.

· You will not handle money.

· Check fire rings are cold out after campers leave.

· Disperse user made fire rings.

· Be a friendly face to the public - remember, just being there makes a difference!

2. Restroom Clean up (each scheduled workday):

· Inspect and clean toilets at developed campgrounds.

· Re-stock toilet paper when needed.

· Scrub toilets and floor when needed.

· Clean walls as needed.

3. Garbage Collection (each scheduled workday):

· Inspect garbage receptacles. Pull full trash bags and store in bear proof location until they can be picked up by Forest Service staff.

· Patrol campgrounds for litter.

· Remove cold ashes from fire pits.

· Rake up site as time permits.


4. Public Contacts: Provide information to the public about:

· Points of interest.

· Forest Service regulations.

· Current fire danger.

· Camping etiquette in a Recreation Area.

i. Only collecting and burning dead and down wood

ii. Quiet hours (after 10pm)

iii. Reminding to pay fees and show fee stubs

iv. Putting out camp fires

v. Leaving a clean camp

vi. Dogs controlled in campground

· Camp hosts will not act as an enforcement officer.
