Volunteer Recruiter - Women of Color on the Move (WOCOTM)
Location: Remote
Commitment: Flexible, approximately 4-10 hours per week
About Us:
Women of Color on the Move (WOCOTM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering, supporting, and advocating for women of color through mentorship, professional development, and community engagement.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and driven Volunteer Recruiter to help us grow our volunteer team. This role is essential in identifying and engaging individuals who are eager to contribute to our mission.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to attract volunteers for various roles
- Post volunteer opportunities on relevant platforms and social media
- Screen and coordinate interviews with potential volunteers
- Maintain volunteer records and assist in onboarding
- Collaborate with the team to understand volunteer needs and expectations
- Promote WOCOTM’s mission to attract like-minded individuals
Qualifications:
- Experience in recruitment, HR, or volunteer coordination (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Passion for community service and empowering women of color
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with social media and job posting platforms
