We are looking for dedicated volunteer drivers to provide transportation, using VA vans, to pick up and drive Veteran to their medical appointments and back, when their appointment is completed.
As a VA volunteer driver, you are the bridge connecting the Veterans to the care they have earned, by directly impacting their access to care. Being a driver honors their service with yours, and delivers hopesand support .
Main Duties:
- - Operate and drive van.
- - Maintain required records.
- - Use the van's communication equipment.
- - Observe all safety policies and precautions.
- - Educate passengers on VA/DAV rules, regulations and policies.
- Passenger safety is the central responsibility of all drivers.
Qualifications :
- Valid drivers license.
- Proof of vehicle insurance.
- Clear driving record.
- Physical examination and Health screening

Description
We are accredited by the Joint Commission to serve Veterans across three states. Gulf Coast VHCS is a complexity level 1c health care system consisting of the Biloxi VA Medical Center (VAMC), located in Biloxi, Mississippi; Joint Ambulatory Care Center (JACC), located in Pensacola, Florida; and three (3) Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) located in Mobile, Alabama; Fort Walton Beach, Florida; and, Panama City Beach, Florida. The Biloxi VAMC, JACC, Eglin CBOC and Panama City CBOC are all located in close proximity to Department of Defense (DoD) military installations and our Biloxi campus consists of a 228-operating bed facility.

within the Veterans Integrated Service Network 16 (VISN 16),
which includes medical centers and clinics in Mississippi,
